We Don’t Know – update

This morning I have linked two articles that merit consideration in the context of my post “We Don’t Know“.

Read together with the original post I have to ask people to reconsider why the general media devotes such time and space to terrorism and newly discovered diseases, when women are being killed in the hundreds annually by men they know.

Local newspapers carry the vile facts, the national press and media chooses to brush this daily, rolling horror story over.

  1. Unfortunately, this situation is still the norm for too many women.

Violence against women in all forms is an abhorrent symptom of the systemic inequality women still face in our society and across the world.

    Sad, but true.

It’s heartening to see so many men who are willing to stand with women to try and change this, but I fear we still have a long way to go.

Thank you for your post and for highlighting the plight of women and girls everywhere
