I spent most of the day travelling by train, but that is incidental to the main event.

I managed to see my brother before the game, which was great.
I made it to the football. My seat was within speaking distance of Derek, I saw Barry in passing at half-time, spoke outside the club shop to a lad I recognised from Chichester. I watched a home game from the North Stand for the first time since 2ndMarch. We won 2-0. The weather was dreadful.

I cannot exaggerate how good it felt to be back home, despite the closed Railway Club, the shuttered pub and only 2,000 supporters in the ground.
After changing trains at Stratford, which is a location dropped into London from a science fiction movie, I got back to Norwich by 22:30 hrs still elated.
