Penance for a day out of town meant I spent nearly the whole day at my desk. I competed the project I had been working on since September. Then wrote a presentation for Monday afternoon.
I did go out briefly to find that it was very cold. I bought groceries and two pairs of thermal socks that had packaging that claimed the socks to be four times warmer than normal cotton socks.
I missed a poetry event I was going to watch online, but rather than being a passive spectator at a Zoom event, I took part in two telephone conversations which brought several moments of shared laughter. I then sat up until 03:30 hrs on Monday writing.
The time flew. I was still being powered by the football buzz.
