unbearable

these two men adopt a stolid stance
explain nothing will deflect
each from their stated purpose
irrespective of distractions
the cries of infants orphaned
the tears of grieving mothers
the pleas of widows
anger of widowers
vengeful vows from sons and daughters
who will ensure peace will not come
to Palestine or Ukraine
for generations
