nose forward, tail out behind

well, watch it stop
drop its tail-brush to the floor
swing round and disappear
when it’s seen someone
of whom it’s not sure
trot-trot-trot
nose forward, tail out behind
it panics not a jot
and off the old fox goes
trot-trot-trot
