from quite a way out
I understand
this planet looks blue
with creamy swirls of cloud
and on days like this
when the light is right
sea barely divisible from sky
with cloud streaking the heavens
it is humbling to think
how small I am
how short my spell here
how small the Earth
how young the planet
how it looks
just a blue dot
in the vastness
of the Universe
