There is no such thing as Lucky Socks
Or shirt, or shoes or underwear
I tried some new ones Wednesday night
But Pompey sunk without a fight
To lose six-one was a shock to me
So are those socks now cursed Unlucky?
There’s not such a thing, I’m pretty sure
So, they’re unwashed and are worn once more
For the vital match today
When Oxford United are the team away
With these pink Elvis Presley socks
I am sure we’ll be better in the penalty box
Because unlucky clothing is just superstition
Today they’ll prove we need not fear relegation
