We have cleaned and tidied
Turned to consider
That which we carried here
To unearth pictures, letters, cards
From life past
Imagined essentially forgotten

Now as vivid as the dawn
Cuts thought healed
Each another of the thousand
Bleed anew
Washed out again
With tears
