I have been very lucky to meet some wonderful writers since I started this website in 2018. It has always been an idea of mine to share some of their work with a wider audience in some way or another.
That idea has now become a reality, with the establishment of a publishing venture called Last Ditch Poetry. The first volume of poetry off the press is ô delirious God by Praise Jourdain.
Praise Jourdain’s debut poetry collection records the inbreaking of God’s love during a life-changing crisis of gender dysphoria, PTSD and the death of their mother. ô delirious God is a heart-breaking, provocative account of the disintegration of one life as a new one begins.
Praise Jourdain is a transgender poet, performer and speaker based in London. They are a graduate of the University of East Anglia’s MA Creative Writing programme, where they were the Ink, Sweat and Tears Scholar for 2020/21. They love everyone.
