Shimmering sheets of ramsons
Spread through the wood
Ripple in the feckless breeze
Footsteps fall soft
As if in day old snow
Every gentle crunch
Emits another pungent breath
Between harsh shadows
Of ash and sycamore
Squinting in steely sunlight
She stoops to gather
A small handful here another there
Picking her way home
With spring-stained fingers

You captured the season beautifully, Chris. I especially love the ‘feckless breeze’ and ‘spring-stained fingers’.
Wonderful ♥️
