So the three in black hoodies are the invading snakes. Got it.
Wasn’t looking at it quite like that when I wrote it, but if you start on the ladder, their is an implication of there being snakes, as in a game of snakes & ladders. I was thinking more that the lads might be seen by some as losers, but tried to suggest that having nothing to lose means one can’t be a loser, but may in reality be a potential winner, or at least have to live unconventionally in order to get on.
However, I only wrote the piece, you read into it as you like. Once it’s out there it isn’t mine to say what it means any more. 🙏
