Talking of the end of the world
Realising the conversation was about the end of humanity
Identifying that nature will persist
Keeping faith that this Blue Planet will keep spinning
Understanding that it is us who will pass
Leaving our stain
In fossilised cities
Railway lines
Concrete structures
Chemical compounds
Nuclear isotopes
Which will all eventually fade

n.b. It is over two years since the Nova Kakhovka dam was destroyed, draining the giant reservoir behind it. Today, this place is already returning to nature, despite the scars and toxic detritus of the war.
