pinch the ears
nip at the nose
the cheeks redden
as if slapped
the call goes up
coats!
hats!
boots!
gloves!
secure the stockade
bring in the herd
collect the kindling
fire up the stove
it's time to gather round
share heroic tales
sing songs of liberty
listen out for wolves
