on time

I've pondered the matter of life
Limited as it must be
Is there life on Saturn's moons?
How would we know?
Evidence of life this far out
Comes not from twitching organisms
Not from a pulse
No morse like message
G, A, F (low), F (high), C
It comes from the decaying remains
A trail of decomposition
Emitted from the arse of Enceladus
A constant outpouring of water vapour plus
Organic matter
A wet fart
Confirming we are not alone
Underlining our mortality
Our humble origins
No doubt feeding the arrogance
Of those who consider themselves superior
Not only to life on Earth
But to life anywhere
Look what we've done here
Extra-terrestrial life exists
Its a comfort for the rest of us
Confirming stuff happens
And that we know life
Through death
