Journey of Words

You must have considered 
The weirdness of it all
People thank a god
Or blame the bounce of the ball
The rub of the green
Not seeing it coming
Or it was told in the stars
Fate, destiny, luck
Paths fortunately crossing

Random happenstance
Sweet circumstance
The time and the place

You can't just make this stuff up
Who would conceive?
Some claim they can read
Some claim they can see
What lies ahead
One just has to believe

Roll it all back
Look under the skin
Up to the heavens
Where did life begin?

If A led to B
And B led to C
That's just how things roll
So how can there be
Such a thing as free will?

If that is case
And we don't have to decide
Why not just sit back
And enjoy the ride?
